The National Theatre is a historic American theater located in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C., just two blocks from The White House. For nearly 200 years, the theater has hosted theatrical and musical presentations for the citizens of our Nation’s Capital. The National Theatre has welcomed nearly every major theatrical star in the nation’s history, a fact that no other theater in the hemisphere can claim.

Located on the 2nd floor, the Helen Hayes Lounge is an intimate 125-seat performance space that is an ideal location for children’s programming and local performers to showcase their talents. The Gallery is also a prime location for meetings, receptions, and private functions.
